Erik Ellington for Living Proof Magazine, Issue 15.

As an original member of the Baker Skateboards team and the co-founder of iconic brands including Deathwish and Supra, Erik Ellington established himself as one of the definitive skaters of his era during the early 2000’s. Through a steady output of classic titles including Baker 3 and Baker Has A Deathwish, Ellington and his teammates offered a generation an unfiltered look at not only skateboarding at its highest level, but also the partying, fighting, and criminal activity that accompanied their crew’s fast-paced lifestyle.

After a brush with the legal system that ended with him narrowly avoiding a lengthy prison sentence, Ellington made the decision to face his struggles with substance abuse and has since become an outspoken advocate for health and wellness within the skateboarding community. Today, Ellington has stayed involved in skating while pursuing his interests in arts and design and founding the non-alcoholic beer company Easy Does It.
